He fed you with manna in the wilderness, a food unknown to your ancestors. He did this to humble you and test you for your own good. He did all this so you would never say to yourself, ‘I have achieved this wealth with my own strength and energy.’ Remember the Lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful, in order to fulfill the covenant he confirmed to your ancestors with an oath. Deuteronomy 8:16-18 (NLT)
When we are in need, it can often be difficult to keep believing that things will work out for the best. We have the option to continue to focus on the problem that we are facing. A better use of our time is to look at all that God has brought us through. We need to remember all that He has done and have the faith that He will take care of us.
Prayer:
God, thank you for all you have done in my life. Help me to focus on all that you have brought me through instead of what is missing in my life. Let me be an example to others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
