Job Title: Stony Creek Student Ministries Director
Ministry Area: Family Ministries & Stony Campus
Status: Full-Time
Reports To:  Campus Pastor

Overview:

We’re looking for a highly motivated and skilled Youth Director at Heritage Church, who will help take point at our portable campus that is launching in the Stony Creek area in September of 2024.  We expect this person to be a self-starter, always looking to connect students to each other and to a relationship with Jesus. The ideal candidate must be willing and able to recruit and train volunteers, can grow an attractional student ministry, and has a heart for God. They’ll be outside-in focused, with a desire for reaching those who are far from Jesus!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create and run youth ministry programs that are fun and help students grow in their faith
  • Organize and manage various events, gatherings, and social activities that encourage Youth to connect with one another.
  • Create social media content, emails and other communications to parents, students and volunteers
  • Build strong volunteer teams who are trained and equipped to serve students
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, feedback, and outcomes from events and special projects for evaluation and future improvement

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Strong desire to foster genuine connections and a sense of belonging within the church community.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing events, from conceptualization to implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast growing youth ministry, and volunteer teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to speak publicly
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Some type of Bible training, degree or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word (Pages, Google Docs, etc.), or other software necessary to complete projects at a professional level
  • Proficient in social media like Instagram, Facebook, Youtube and more!

Overview:

Heritage Church – Stoney Creek
Status: Full-Time

We’re looking for a spiritually-mature, biblically-grounded, evangelistic Christian to lead all tech and production ministries at Heritage Church – Stoney Creek Campus under the direction of the Campus Pastor and Campus Worship Director. The ideal candidate has a high- energy, can-do outlook with the ability to work in a fast, fluid and flexible environment. The ideal candidate also has experience running sound in a “seeker-aware” church, shepherding tech and production teams, and recruiting talented tech and production volunteers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work under the direction of Campus Worship Director and Campus Pastor to plan and execute the weekend and worship services at Stoney Creek.
  • Facilitate the setup and teardown of the tech and production equipment weekly.
  • Lead all tech for campus ministries.
  • Develop a process to identity and deploy new volunteers in the church’s tech and

    production ministries.

  • Shepherd, train, manage, and care for the staff and volunteer tech teams.
  • Oversee the church’s worship tech ministries: Sound, Lights, Media, set Design, etc.
  • Serve others, as needed, in a team environment.
  • Attend all church staff meetings and retreats. •

REQUIREMENTS

  • A lifestyle congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders. (1 Timothy 3:1-13; 2 Timothy 2; Titus 1:5-9).
  • Agreement with the mission, vision, and beliefs of Heritage Church.
  • A demonstrated gift for high quality audio engineering.
  • A fun, outgoing, creative, problem-solving personality. A positive attitude is a must!
  • Should have experience leading and managing multiple staff and volunteer teams.
  • Some formal training in audio engineering is preferred, but not required.
  • Should be familiar with Ableton, Logic, ProPresenter, and Planning Center.

Heritage Church Family Ministries

HC Youth Associate Youth Director

Job Description: The HC Youth Associate Youth Director will lead the middle school ministry while assisting the Youth Director and Family Ministry Director with High School and Family Ministry events. They will help coordinate events, communicate with leaders, and help create effective services for all middle school students.

Responsibilities:

  • HC Youth
    • Create effective services for middle schoolers that engage, encourage, and inspire students to love Jesus and their church.
    • Plan and coordinate all middle school events including off-day ministry events.
    • Help lead all volunteers, specifically the volunteers involved with the middle school ministry.
    • Recruit and train volunteers to help lead and encourage middle schoolers in their faith.
    • Create effective marketing and communication strategies to help grow HC Youth middle school and to distribute information. 
    • Have a presence in midweek high school and assist where needed.
  • Campus Events
    • Assist in leading family ministry events including but not limited to HC Youth camps, events, and other campus experiences.
    • Help with any large church events that may not involve the Youth Department (Kids Camp, Christmas services, etc.)

Requirements:

  • A fun, outgoing personality. 
  • A can-do attitude with the ability to solve problems quickly.
  • A desire to constantly want to make things better and improve on all areas of HC Youth.

Staff:

Job Title: Sterling Heights Intern

Overview:We are looking for motivated team players who want to enhance their professional skills and develop ministry experience. An intern at Heritage church will enhance their career while working in a ministry department and specializing in one of the following areas: HC Youth, HC Kids, Videography, Graphic Design, Production, Music Production/Worship, Social Media, Online Production, Next Steps/Guest Services, Leadership Development, Office Administration, Accounting, Event Planning, or Heritage Fitness Project. 

Each intern will receive weekly biblical training, leadership/career training, and an individual mentor to develop their professional and personal abilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with mentor/direct report in ministry area to produce and revise department projects 
  • Serving in a Sunday role on your department’s volunteer team or on another volunteer team
  • Participating in a weekly Bible study, completing reading assignments and developing thoughtful questions
  • Engaging with leadership/career speakers during leadership training
  • Organizing and managing volunteer teams in your department
  • Plan and execute the Heritage Intern final project from beginning to end

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated capacity to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Strong desire to learn more about how God can use you and put you into action
  • Experience in chosen specialty area, whether professionally or as a hobby
  • Ability to thoughtfully engage in group discussions during biblical and leadership training

We’re looking for a musically-gifted, spiritually-mature, biblically-grounded, evangelistic Christian to lead worship at multiple Heritage Church campuses under the direction of the Worship Pastor. The ideal candidate has a high-energy, can-do outlook with the ability to work in a fast, fluid and flexible environment. The ideal candidate also has experience leading high- energy worship and performance songs in front of large crowds in a “seeker-aware” church, shepherding worship teams, and recruiting talented musicians, and vocalists.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work under the direction of Worship Pastor to plan and execute the weekend and worship services at Heritage Church.
  • Lead the musical portion of assigned worship services.
  • Recruit, identity, and develop new volunteers in the church’s worship ministries.
  • Serve others, as needed, in a team environment.
  • Attend all church staff meetings and retreats. •

REQUIREMENTS

  • A lifestyle congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders. (1 Timothy 3:1-13; 2 Timothy 2; Titus 1:5-9).
  • A calling to ministry.
  • Agreement with the mission, vision, and beliefs of Heritage Church.
  • A demonstrated gift for high-energy worship leading.
  • A fun, outgoing, creative, problem-solving personality. A positive attitude is a must!
  • Willingness to design services and multiple creative components including new and

    old worship songs, secular songs, media, humor, fun element, etc.

  • Significant skill as a vocalist and instrumentalist. Preferably piano or guitar.
  • Broad knowledge of music across multiple styles and generational tastes.
  • Should be proficient in leading and arranging for vocalists and bands.
  • Should have experience leading and managing multiple staff and volunteer teams.
  • Should be familiar with Ableton, Logic, ProPresenter, and Planning Center.
