“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” Mark 9:23 (NLT)
A man came to Jesus asking for help for his son. The boy was possessed by a spirit which caused him to foam at the mouth, prevented him from speaking, and he would grind his teeth. This family lived with this from the boy’s childhood. When they came to Jesus for help, He reminded them that the boy could be healed if they believed.
We can pray for miracles in our lives. We can pray for healing. We can pray for the salvation of a lost family member. We can pray for financial breakthroughs. Just because we ask does not always mean we will get what we ask for. God knows what we need more than we do. But there are times God wants to perform miracles in our lives and we need to believe that anything is possible, even when there seems to be no solution.
Prayer:
God, thank you for reminding me that anything is possible. You are a miracle-working God. I believe, help my unbelief (Mark 9:24). In Jesus’ name. Amen.
