If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?” Luke 11:13 (NASB)
We live in a fallen and broken world. While we can be good parents, we can never be perfect parents. We will all have areas where we make mistakes in our lives. But we can still do good things for our children. We show them that we love them. We take care of them and nurture them. We do this even in our fallen state. If we can take care of our children, how much more would God want to take care of us? He is the perfect father. He knows what we need before we ask. God wants to give you good gifts.
Prayer:
God, thank you for being the perfect father. Thank you for wanting to give me good gifts. Help me pray for myself and others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
