Peter said, “Change your life. Turn to God and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, so your sins are forgiven. Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 (MSG)
This verse was linked to the point “Please forgive me” from the message last weekend. When you are truly sorry and ask for forgiveness, it means that you will repent for what you have done. It means that you have severe regret or remorse. When you repent you make a change to your life. You change the behavior. God forgives us because He loves us. We need to show others that same love. If we are in need of forgiveness it means turning to God and changing our life. It means to make sure we do right from here on out.
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for forgiving me when I ask. Thank you for everything you provide for me. Please help me show forgiveness to others. Help me say the right words when I ask others for forgiveness. Help my heart heal and help me lean toward you. Amen.
