14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. We have all had our dark times. Everyone knows how it feels to be in that dark place. How good is it when that light shines to bring you out of it? Maybe you can think of the person that was the light that brought you out of that place. Christians were made to be a light of the world. We are made to go out and show our faith. We are made to go out into the world and do good deeds/help out people. When our light shines it brings people that are in the darkness into the light. Think of a person who said something nice or did something nice for you. It’s contagious. It makes you want to go out and do good for others. Doing good, feels good. Just like paying it forward in the drive through. One person can start a movement. Go out and show Jesus’ light.
