“And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matt. 16:14–19)
The world around us is full of brokenness. Things can go wrong in big and small ways. But we have been given authority to bind on loose things in Christ because of his work on the cross. If things need to be stopped, we can use our authority to bind them. If things need to be broken free, we can use our authority to lose them. We have been given the keys, we just have to use them.
Prayer:
God, thank you for the work Jesus did on the cross. Teach me how to use the keys of the kingdom. Open my eyes to see what needs to be bound and loosed. In Jesus name. Amen.
