Heritage Church is growing rapidly every year! This past year, we were #16 on the fastest growing churches list in America, growing by 44% on the average!
We believe that it is time for us to expand our footprint to a third in-person location in order to reach more people for Jesus. We’ve been dreaming and praying about what it would look like if we took the same Heritage Church experience to the Stony Creek area, and as of January, we have decided to host our services at Stoney Creek High School! When and where will this campus be launching?
We are looking to launch in the Fall of 2024 inside of Stoney Creek High School. We have over 1,000 individuals who have been involved at events, services & more that come from that area, so we are strategically positioned to move into that neighborhood!
Because we are renting out a building, this will be a PORTABLE CHURCH CAMPUS. Which means, we will setup our Guest Services, HC Kids, HC Youth and adult spaces and tear them down after services! It will be more financially feasible for us to start this way, and it will require us to build strong teams and think creatively and resourcefully.
At Stoney Creek High School, they have an amazing auditorium/performing arts center that we’ll be using, as well as cafeteria and other rooms for HC Kids!
Who will lead this campus?
When you attend the Stony Creek campus, we want to mirror the same amazing experience you get at our Sterling Heights campus. So, you’ll experience the same amazing series, great worship from our 330 Worship Team, and you’ll even get to see Jeff Forester & Chris Zarbaugh speak regularly, along with Kyle Daubenmeyer.
Kyle Daubenmeyer will be the Campus Pastor, taking care of all the pastoral parts of ministry, directing the campus staff, and charting the vision for our campus and ministries. Kyle is currently serving as our Connections Pastor at Heritage, but has also overseen Creative Arts, HC Youth and Y/A Young Adults in the past. He graduated from Indiana Wesleyan with a Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies, and has worked at several large churches in the Metro Detroit area. He is married to his lovely wife Kristin and has two beautiful daughers, Ella and Knightly. Here’s a note from Kyle about this opportunity:
From the minute I started working at Heritage, I knew my family and I had found a home! I love the mission of Heritage, the people in this community, and all the FUN we have together! My family and I couldn’t be more honored to take point in leading this new adventure out in the Stony area. In fact, they have been the biggest cheerleaders over the years in any new endeavor, because they’ve seen God move us, challenge us, and grow us in every season and through every hill and every valley. Because of that, I cannot wait to begin this journey with hundreds more people who want to go on an adventure and see what God can do through us, reaching this community with the hope that can only be found in Jesus!
What ministries will happen at this new campus?
We are glad you asked, because our ministries matter so much to us and to making an impact in this community! At the Stoney Creek campus, you can expect:
- HC Kids every Sunday! (Ages birth – 5th Grade)
- HC Youth (Grades 6-12th) – TBD on times on locations
- HC Arts Worship & Tech Teams
- HC Groups in the Stony area!
- Next Steps Classes like 101, 201, 301 & 401
How can you be a part of the launch of this new campus?
We are in the initial stages of creating our Launch Team! As we kick into 2024, there will be more decisions made, maps shown of the spaces, and more clarity on how we want to launch. In fact, we hope to launch with over 500 people in attendance at this new campus, so we would love for you to help serve and attend as we get started! We will be looking for people for setup & teardown, guest services, HC Kids & Youth, Parking Lot, Safety & Tech Team, as well as people who may want to host in their homes!

Heritage Church’s history is full of many “launches”, where faith-filled people stepped out and trusted God by putting their faith in action!
