God Fights and Wins for You

19 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. James 2:19 (NASB)

4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4 (NASB)

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 (NRSV)

Your physical battle is real but the core is spiritual.  The devil believes in God and loses this battle.  The devil knows his days are numbered. He was defeated at the Cross and he will have a final defeat and face destruction in the end days.

Are you winning your battle?  Many do not.  Many of us constantly battle our hurts, habits, and hang ups and never get freedom. Why is that? Are you convinced that God is who says who He is, like the devil knows?

Recognize who God is, He is on your side, and change your perspective. When you have been reshaped and refocused about who God is and who you are-you can have victory. Go all in with God. Believe who He is and believe what He can and wants to do for you in the spiritual battles you face. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Seek God’s power to overcome things that are destroying your life or relationships. It starts with submission to God and acknowledged God exists, loves you and can change you.

The Bible shows us in Romans 10:13 NIV “Everyone who calls on the name of Lord will be saved”. Lay down your crown and get off the throne.  No longer be the king of your life. Ask Jesus to reign in your life. Give him control.  We all need a rescue. Invite Jesus in and He will rescue you from the spiritual battles that have physical consequences. This is how we submit to God.

Reflect:
Do you approach God as a loving child to a loving father?
Do you recognize God’s greatness and holiness?
What is holding you back from surrendering your will to His?
Do you trust God to provide for every daily need or do you still rely on your own talents and intelligence? God gave us abilities and opportunities; your gifts and talents are from Him.
Do you forgive others?
Do you know that you have been forgiven when you simply ask?
God has the power to protect you from every evil, will you ask Him for protection?
