We are ALL leaders. We all lead SOMETHING or SOMEONE.
Our ability to lead and inspire others should increase throughout the course of our lives. As we get older and our families grow, our children’s need for guidance and wisdom increases. Those around us start looking for advice and direction. The people of God should have influence on those around them. Godly wisdom and direction are treasured things.
In today’s culture Christian wisdom is often contradictory to the world’s ways. True Christ Followers will be set apart from the world. We will oppose the world’s acceptable standards for God’s higher call to right-living.
God calls us to go against the crowd if the crowd is going against God.
We must be fully equipped to stand strong against the crowd. We can be empowered to love and serve God and people when we seek God with our hearts, read His Word daily, and pray to God for His Will in our lives. True Christ Followers know God and build a relationship with Him to guide their lives and do not follow the crowd.
2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 (NIV)
