Hello Heritage Church!

Well, these are unprecedented days in our lifetime and I pray that you are well and confident in God’s care!

Today, I received an email from Governor Whitmer’s office officially banning all public gatherings over 250 people until 5:00pm, Sunday, April 5th. We will comply with her ban.

We have been anticipating that this would happen for sometime, and we have been working on a few creative solutions to help you stay connected to Heritage Church over the next few weeks.

We are super excited to announce that we are launching our brand new website at HeritageChurch.com! We’ve been trying to get that web address for a while and it finally became available. The virus has forced us to launch the website a few weeks early, but we think you’re going to like it. There’s more to come.

This weekend at HeritageChurch.com you will be able to watch our entire service, including music and teaching on your computer, smartphone or tablet, through our app, or on your TV, if you have a streaming device. You’ll be able to use your message notes, chat with others, share prayer requests, and give your tithes and offerings.

To stay updated, “like” our Heritage Church Facebook page and our Instagram page. We also want to encourage you to sign up for our Heritage Church Daily Devotional. You’ll receive it each day in your email inbox.

Also, our family ministries are working on creative ideas for staying connected to your kids with fun and encouragement through these tough times. Check out the HC Kids YouTube Channel and be looking for new messages on social media.

Easter weekend, we will be back up and running, and my previous message outlining our strategies for ensuring our building is clean and safe will be fully implemented.

Financially, this will be a tough time for Heritage Church, so I’m asking you to keep giving what you’ve been giving. If you can increase, please do so. We don’t have a large “war chest” because we use our resources to help as many people as we can, as often as we can. We want to still be open when this is all over, but we NEED you to be faithful in your giving. You can keep giving through our secure giving portal at Pushpay, on our app, and on our website. Thank you in advance!

So, the virus is causing tremendous disruptions to our everyday lives, but life goes on. We will find a way. Be safe. Pray often. Don’t be afraid. Live wisely. Stay connected.

We’ll see you in a few weeks, but between now and then, know that you are in my prayers.

I LOVE THIS CHURCH!
