Interested in becoming a Group Leader?

Do you need to be a Bible scholar? NOPE. Do you need to have a big home? NOPE. Do I need to find my own study? NOPE. To lead an HC Group, you just need to love Jesus and love people!

Our Spring HC Groups Semester begins the week of March 31/April 1 and for 7-weeks we will ask the question “Who is Jesus?” featuring Pastor Louie Giglio! To be an HC Group leader, we’ll provide the video content and questions, you just need to provide the space and a welcoming environment!

We have groups that meet in the physical areas of Sterling Heights, Imlay City, and the Stony Creek area. We also would love people to host Virtual Groups through Zoom! Deadline to sign up to lead an HC Group is March 8th!

Here are some basic things to know about becoming an HC Leader:

1.) Must be a Christ-follower, and in alignment with Heritage Church’s vision and values. Also, we strongly encourage you to have gone through our 101 Class. Go here for more info: Who We Are!

2.) You can host at your home, in a coffee shop or restaurant, or Zoom! Our mission is to connect people to each other and to God through these HC Groups!

3.) The HC Group Leader Sign up begins Sunday, February 16th, and attendees can begin signing up to join a group on March 10th. HC Groups will officially begin the week after Easter (April 1st) and go for 7-weeks, stopping right before Memorial Day!

4.) Read about the Vision of our Groups HERE!

5.) We will want you to attend a training, led by Kyle Daubenmeyer, before leading an HC Group.  (SH Campus: March 10th after the 8:30a, 10a, 11:30 & 1p 1p service in the VENUE) (IC Campus: March 10th after all services

Here are some questions to be prepared to answer:

  1. What day of the week and time would you like to meet?
  2. Will your group be meeting in home, an office, virtually, or somewhere else?
  3. Will it be a co-ed group?
  4. Can attendees bring children?
  5. What is a quick bio to share about me (and the other leaders, if applicable)?
