What to expect at Heritage

What to expect at Heritage

Our mission statement is to reach others for christ, and train them to serve him.

We are excited to have you visit one of our campuses at Heritage Church! Our team is ready to serve you and provide an amazing experience for your family. If you are visiting us for the first time, check out the information below to help you plan your visit.

Where is Heritage Church located? We have two locations in the Detroit Metropolitan area. Click here for more information about our Sterling Heights and Imlay City campuses.

What should I do when I arrive? We have ample free parking at both campus locations and the campuses are easily accessible for those with disabilities. You will be greeted by one of our friendly volunteer Greeters as you enter the church.

Where do I go once I’m inside? After entering the building you can grab a cup of coffee (it’s free!) in the lobby and check your children into the kid’s area. When you enter the auditorium (where the services are held) you will be given a program with helpful information about the service. If you need help finding a seat, one of our Ushers will be glad to help you.

What should I do if I have questions? We want you to have a great experience at Heritage! If you have any questions before or after service, feel free to visit the Guest Services desk in the lobby. The Guest Services team can answer your questions and give you directions to the kid’s area, restrooms, etc. They can also provide information about upcoming events.

What are the services like and how long are they? Our services last for about an hour on Sundays. We have a contemporary music style and relevant messages to both encourage and inspire you. This is what a typical service looks like:

  • We will sing a couple of songs
  • Someone will welcome you to the church and let you know what will happen during the service
  • We will receive an offering
  • You’ll hear an encouraging message from one of our pastors
  • We’ll finish with some closing announcements and dismiss everyone

How should I dress? You don’t have to dress up at Heritage. Most people wear casual attire, but feel free to wear whatever you like.

Can anyone attend Heritage? The church is God’s house, so everyone is welcome. Whether you are lost, hurting, seeking answers, or a skeptic, you are welcome at Heritage Church. We can’t wait to see you this Sunday!
